March 15, 1868 – Lida Gustava Heymann, German women’s rights activist, with her partner Anita Augspurg founded the movement to abolish prostitution in Germany, the Society for Women’s Suffrage, the newspaper Women in the State, a co-educational high school and professional associations for women (d. 1943)
